Fernanda Laiún in La Nación: key legislative changes expected for the Simplified Income Tax Regime
Fernanda Laiún contributed comments to a La Nación article on the Simplified Income Tax Regime and the legislative amendments the Government is seeking to encourage greater taxpayer participation.
During the article, she explained that removing the current income and wealth thresholds is one of the most significant proposed changes, expanding access to the regime. She also noted that the reform is essential to provide greater legal certainty and encourage the incorporation of undeclared savings into the formal economy.
In addition, she highlighted that beyond the use of so-called “under-the-mattress dollars,” the regime may also benefit taxpayers by limiting the scope of future tax audits.
