Tax Reform: Fernanda Laiún Explained the Changes to VAT, Income Tax, and Gross Turnover Tax

In an interview with La Nación+, Fernanda Laiún analyzed the scenario emerging under the Government’s new phase in tax policy and the main changes proposed in the tax reform, particularly regarding VAT, Income Tax, and Gross Turnover Tax (Ingresos Brutos).

During the discussion, she noted that Ingresos Brutos remains one of the most distortive taxes within Argentina’s tax system and emphasized that any modification to this levy requires effective coordination between the federal government and the provinces. She also pointed out that one of the key challenges of the reform lies in simplifying the tax system to provide greater predictability for taxpayers, while balancing revenue needs with the goal of encouraging investment and economic growth.
